Healthcare assistants work in retirement homes, nursing homes, hospitals, psychiatric services, or in Spitex care and support services, where they assist, care for, and support people in managing health conditions and in their daily lives. In this context, they assist clients with their daily routines and also perform clinical tasks such as taking blood samples, changing dressings, or managing and administering medication. Administrative and logistical services also form part of their role.
Requirements
For this apprenticeship, you should have completed secondary school at middle grade, level B, or at the highest level, level A. You have patience and sensitivity in dealing with people and you have good observation skills. You are a team player with good communication skills. You have a sense of responsibility and organizational skills.
